Participants briefly discuss the contents of Jacobsen’s entry card for the gut cape. Dawn Randazzo questions the use of the term “half bloods” and asks what kind of garment the gut piece was meant to protect. Berlin museum staff respond that the card states it protected cotton skirts or other fabric garments. Another staff member reflects on Jacobsen’s claim that the cape was not worn by women, questioning what information or context he might have been reacting to in making that statement.
