In June of 2022 master artist June Pardue led a group of regional artists in revitalizing the tradition of making Kanarlluk/Bear Gut Raincoats in the Chugach region. Diane Selanoff, Joyce Kompkoff-Peterson, Brooke Mallory, and Dawn Randazzo were June's apprentices and aided in the completion of the first Bear Gut Raincoat in the Chugach region in 100 years.
