This photograph captures Juanita Melshiemer, Bob Gay (Vista Volunteer), and Sergius Kvasnikoff (Chief) in front of a BIA home.

Left to Right: Juanita Melshiemer, Bob Gay (Vista Volunteer), and Sergius Kvasnikoff (Chief). Bob Gay was helping Sergius Kvasnikoff with council activities. Peter Moonin's house is in the background with a gravesite behind it. These were the first BIA homes built in Nanwalek. All of the homes were moved and built higher up on the hill after the 1964 earthquake. The old church is visible in the back left.
