Maggie Totemoff sings a Russian Orthodox song in a Sugt'stun interview with Rhoda Moonin on June 30, 2010 where she talks about growing up in Old Chenega Bay.

Many Sugpiaq people have adopted Russian Orthodoxy due to the heavy Russian influence that occurred in the southern coast of Alaska from the late 1700's to the late 1800's. Because of this, Russian Orthodox practices are heavily integrated into the Sugpiaq culture.
