This book contains a collection of essays and papers written by various authors about different Alaska Native groups. The groups named by the book include the people of the Amur and Maritime Regions, Koryak and Itelmen, Even, Chukchi, Eskimos, Aleut, Tlingit, and Northern Athapaskans. Topics that the essays cover include traditional life, the arrival of the Russian colonizers, Ancient tales, and more.
