Sharing Alaska Native Cultures: A Hands-On Activity Book

University of Alaska Museum (Creator)
An education activity book to accompany the Exhibition CROSSROADS ALASKA: Cultures of Alaska and Siberia

A supplement to Crossroads Alaska, this activity book was written by the University of Alaska Museum in collaboration with Native educators and values cross-cultural diversity and similarities. The Activity Book's stated goal is to expose students to a variety of cultures in a positive atmosphere while minimizing cultural diversity. The activity book encourages teachers to "educate all students about different cultures without emphasizing differences." The activity book includes traditional attire to be cut out to create paper dolls and other lesson plans for grades up through 12th grade.
