This book brings together information from the writings of traders, explorers, missionaries, Athapaskan oral traditions, and community interviews, all centered around what the book calls "Northern Athapaskan clothing."
A comprehensive study of Northern Athapaskan clothing, made primarily from animal hides and decorated with quillwork, fringes, and pigments. Uses writings of traders, explorers, missionaries; Athabascan oral tradition; sketches and photographs; and artifacts to construct a picture of the culture in a time of rapid change.
