A photograph of Nancy Yeaton's childhood home in Nanwalek.

"Looking at this picture makes me realize so much about my Sugpiat linage, I caught the tail end of what my Father's life could have been like during those eight years living in a house with no electricity, no running water, just a little house with two rooms, a small kitchen with a small window to watch the ocean, the sun, the stars, the moon, life in the water, people coming and going in skiffs/fishing boats. A simpler time with a lot of work to survive, the store was your surrounding area, the food came from land and water during these times of my childhood. I love this picture of it captures and says so much..."
