John Johnson: Copper scraper used to scrap the inner cambium cell layer as it as high in Vitamin C and used as a food source. Pits were unearthed in diggings used to store tools and food to keep brown bears away. When researching they found big coils of Bullhorn kelp (and the cambium cell layer) to go halibut fishing in deep waters.
