The Elder group discusses language and oral traditions, visual arts, games and music, and celebrations and holidays. They describe how vital language is to culture. Sperry Ash shares the groundhog story from his grandmother Juanita Melshiemer and how spending one night with the groundhogs meant all winter. They read stories from Alexandrovsk and talk about the importance of continuing to speak Sugt'stun. Nick Tanape Sr. describes his dad's stories about qayaqing around the Prince William Sound and describes how his dad learned how to build a qayaq and the importance of the bow, as well as the collaborative nature of qayaq building; Emilie Swenning describes Alutiiq headdresses and the beas used on these head pieces and the switch to lighter materials for these headdresses; The Elders discuss how traditionally there were designated times for games in the seasonal calendar
