Elders gather to share about their experience growing up as a Sugpiaq person and the special qualities of being Sugpiaq. They talk in many ways about their multicultural experiences growing up, the emphasis on community on sharing, environmental stewardship. They also discuss discrimination and segregation in larger Alaska communities ,and the different experiences of Sugpiat growing up in larger versus smaller communities. The Elders discuss Sugpiaq pride and what that means to each of them.
